My name is Julie Howell and I am happy to welcome you and your student to a new school year. This is my fourth year teaching at Wells Junior High School. I live in nearby Kennebunkport with my husband, a daughter who is a junior in high school, and a son who works as a land surveyor. We have a dog and two cats who are always making us laugh. We have moved around quite a bit as a family, living in six different states. We love that we live in Maine now, and spend as much time as possible outside. I have an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, and I earned a Master of Science in Teaching from SUNY Potsdam. My philosophy as a teacher is to provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment, engage them with relevant work and to recognize them as individuals with their own learning styles. I look forward to working with your child.
